An extensive pilot campaign to validate a project in the energy efficiency business

Customer challenge

Our client operates in a slow-moving industry with decreasing margins. The challenge for such a client was to identify ways to innovate both by developing new value-added services and by increasing the margins of existing ones.

 

After building a first prototype of a new business idea identified internally, it was crucial to identify ways of involving the internal stakeholders in a way that minimized the risks:

  • Low effort required from the client’s team
  • Low investment
  • Low reputational risk

Our results

We suggested to address all these concerns with our “Pilot Projects Performance Pack” that in its flexibility is extremely effective in meeting this type of needs. In accordance with the client, we have identified 3 pilot projects to deploy both with existing customers and new customers identified by Corporate Hangar.

 

The Corporate Hangar team worked in (1) defining the value proposition and the commercial activities needed to engage the companies with whom develop the pilots, (2) managing the design and the execution of the pilots with a hands-on approach, (3) providing the customer services needed and (4) collecting all the feedbacks to be integrated in the value proposition and in characteristics of the product/service. At the end of these pilots CH and the client have been reviewing all the KPIs (set at the beginning of the project) to assess all the improvements needed to scale the solution.
